Meeting 1 - Letter to Residents

February 17, 2010

RE:      127th Street Improvements, Black Bob to Pflumm

Dear Resident,

Residents of Olathe consistently indicate the need for transportation improvements to increase safety and reduce congestion. To start addressing the concern about 127th Street from Black Bob to Pflumm, the City Council approved funds in 2010 for design of the project. Construction of the project is anticipated to begin in 2014.

As you may know from the concept design study completed in 2007, 127th Street, between Black Bob and Pflumm, will be reconstructed to widen the corridor to a four-lane divided roadway. Now that the city is proceeding with design, we want to continue hearing from you.

To learn more about preliminary design plans for the proposed improvements, and to provide feedback and information about your property and driving patterns in the area, please attend the next public meeting, to be held:

            Thursday, March 4, 2010

            5:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Pioneer Trail Junior High, Commons Room
